Well, in a couple of hours (or less) I'll get a bit of soup into me. I'm still feeling perfectly well, but the reality of family gatherings and grey cup parties are puching my hand in the direction of food.
Its somewhat sad, as my tongue is now seriously coated, implying that there is still a lot of stuff inside of me that could come out. I believe that I will have another try at this, most likely next middle of next year, as that will be winter in Australia - a more logical time of fasting than over the Christmas holidays.
I wanted to see if this fast was doable to someone who loves food, and that, I can say quite conclusively, I have done. I have done water only fasts in the past, and I find a one-day version of that more difficult than this three-day endeavor, as there is little trauma of any sort in this diet.

Happy soup-eating!!! I'm with you man - this is just bad timing for any sort of fast. I have a friend who runs an amazing ministry in the North End who fasts for the month of January and he has done it for a number of years. For him it is more spiritual than a health thing but I'm sure both are affected.
Later,
